This website (ratzel.io) is a node-based project management tool that primarily operates locally in the user's browser. By default, all project data is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and never leaves your device. Optionally, you can sign in with Google to enable cloud storage and synchronization across devices via Supabase. The processing of personal data is carried out only to the extent necessary and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Ratzel is a personal project created for our own use, to share with friends and colleagues, and as a learning experience in web application development. The goal is to provide better project management while maintaining complete transparency about data handling. We enjoy the process of designing and building this tool, and we hope it brings value to those who use it.
We are committed to transparency and ethical data handling. This application has no financial interests, does not sell, rent, lease, or monetize user data, and operates solely to provide a useful and transparent project management tool.
All data processing is limited to what is technically necessary for the application to function. We do not engage in any hidden data collection or tracking beyond what is explicitly stated in this privacy policy.

Local storage is used exclusively for the functionality of the application, to preserve your projects between browser sessions and enable an auto-save function.

Data is stored in localStorage until you manually delete it via browser settings (e.g., by clearing browser data or site data in your browser's settings) or until you clear the browser cache.

Note: Supabase is only used if you choose to sign in with Google. Without signing in, all data remains stored locally in your browser and is never transmitted to any server.
If you sign in with Google, this website uses Supabase for user authentication and cloud storage of project data. When you sign in with Google, the following data is processed:
Purpose: User authentication and cloud storage to enable project synchronization across devices and browser sessions.
Legal Basis: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (Contract Performance) - authentication and data storage are necessary to provide the service.
Storage Duration: Data is stored until you delete your account or request deletion. Session tokens are automatically refreshed and expire when you log out.
Data Security: Supabase encrypts all data at rest and in transit. For more information, please see Supabase's Privacy Policy.
Data Processing Agreements: We have concluded data processing agreements (DPAs) with Supabase, Vercel (hosting), and Google (OAuth authentication) in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR to ensure that your data is processed in compliance with data protection regulations.
Your Rights: You can request access, correction, or deletion of your cloud-stored data at any time by using the data management tools on this page (when logged in) or by contacting us at sandor.r.albert@googlemail.com.
